Sign the petition below to improve pedestrian safety on Cobequid Road

between American Hill Road and Rocky Lake Drive in Waverley

We, the residents of Waverley, are requesting pedestrian safety improvements, including:

• The addition of a sidewalk between American Hill Road and Rocky Lake Drive

• The addition of speed bumps to assist in the slowing of traffic

• The reduction of posted speed limits from 50km/h to 40km/h to decrease chances of a collision and increase enforcement powers and penalties for dangerous drivers

• The addition of marked crosswalks for pedestrian safety, including flashing amber lighting

• Improvement of School Bus Stop safety for students

• Improvement of site lines through removal of vegetation to increase visibility for both pedestrians and motorists

• Improved lighting to increase visibility for both pedestrians and motorists

• The addition of "School Bus Stop Ahead", "Children Crossing", and / or "Crosswalk Ahead" singage.
